At the Leeston sale today there was an entry of 70 pigs, all stores. Prices ranged from 16/- for medium to 21/- for good slips and from 35/- for good to 45/- for heavy stores.
A gold weddiing ring was found in a street collection box for the Spitfire Fund, at Leigh, Lancashire. With it was a note stating: "From a war widow of the last war."
