DRAMA FESTIVAL
SECOND NIGHT NEXT
TUESDAY
FOUR PLAYS TO BE
PRESENTED
Another great night's entertainment will be provided at the Leeston Town Hall next Tuesday, November 14, when the second night of the drama festival held under the auspices of St. John's Church will take place. Four plays are now on the programme, three by local groups and one by players from the Canterbury Repertory Theatre Society, Christchurch. The St. John's Play-Reading Circle will put on "Way to his Heart," the Leeston Night Circle Institute will give "Mrs Biddlecombe and Furriners," while the third local play will be staged by Southbridge players and will be entitled "In the Dark." The Christchurch party will produce "Widows." With this long programme, .an early start will be necessary, So the first play will commence at 7.45 p.m. Those who were present at the! first night of the festival will recall the pleasure derived from hearing the three excellent plays pro- i duced on that occasion and the pro-j moters anticipate with every confidence that the success achieved then will be repeated next Tuesday evening. As there is every reason to anticipate a crowded > ■ attendance, those who wish to Secure their seats without trouble would be well advised to reserve them, and this can be done by ringing phone 24.
