WOMEN'S HOCKEY CLUB
The third annual meeting- of the Waihora Women's Hockey Club was held in the Motukarara hall. The secretary's report showed that the club had experienced a very successful year in every way, the balancesheet showing a credit of £9/15/10. The team had won the B grade competition and the six-a-side competition. Three new members were welcomed to the club. The ■ election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr J. Rennie; president, Mrs Sirrymons; vice-presi-dents, Messrs R. J. Templeton, T. C. Withell, T. M. Wheeler, F. Miller, G. Templeton, T. O'Boyle, G. Thompson, and E. Hodgen; secretary, Miss Hodgen; club captain, Mrs G. Thompson; vice-captain, I Miss C. Thompson; committee, | Mesdames Smith, G. Thompson, and! Simmons, Misses L. Woods, D. Sheriff, and R. Templeton; auditor, Mr G. Templeton; sub-association delegates, Mrs J. Blanche and Mr R. J. Templeton. The Motukarara Hall committee held the first of its euchre evenings with a good attendance. The winners of miost points were Miss H. Taylor and Mrs C. Pluck, Mr Clark (Greenpark) and Mr W. Newton. Mrs Clarke played for the dance and the winners of' the Monte Carlos were Mrs Atkinson and Mr Clarke.
