ELLESMERE CLUB COMPETITIONS.

Some of the results of games in the first round of the knock-out competition are given below. Those games which have not been played may be got off on or before next Monday:—

G. Leahy beat J. A. Creagh; G. W. R. Osborne beat E. C. Vaughan; J. A. Scott beat S. R. Cattell; A. A. McMillan beat H. G. Chamberlain; A. J. Henderson beat F. B. Woodard; C. G. Fisher beat W. G. Volckman.

The following games have not been played:—E. W. Hunt v. H. D. Glasson; J. Connell v. H. Neave; F. Mcllraith v. E. Burgess; R. G. Power v. R. Lambie; T. Beckett v. F. W. Page; M. H. Boyd v, W. H. Cartwright; D. Taylor v. J. Purser. FIXTURES ARRANGED. A stroke match will be played on Saturday next. The draw is as follows:— G. W. R. Osborne v. W. H. Cartwright; R. Lambie v. C. G. Fisher; E. Burgess v. E. C. Vaughan; J. Connell v. J. A. Scott; R, G. Power v. H. Neave; G. Leahy v. E. W. Hunt; D. Taylor v. J. T. Purser; H. G. Chamberlain v. S. R. Cattell; F. B. Woodard v. A. J. Henderson; F. Mcllraith v. T. Beckett; H. D. Glasson v. W. G- Volckman; A. A. McMillan v. J. A. Creagh; M. Boyd v. scorer. A match against Kaituna will be played over the week-end. The Ellesmere team will be published later. • KING'S BIRTHDAY. An all-day eclectic match for men and women will be played on Monday, June 3. Players are to arrange their own games and suppjy their own lunch. Afternoon tea will be provided as on Saturdays. MATCH WITH RAKAIA. The match with Rakaia, played over the week-end, resulted in a win for Ellesmere. MATCH WITH KAITUNA. Ellesmere will be represented by the following team against Kaituna, in a match to be played at Ellesmere during the week-end: Lambie, Leahy, Fisher, Power, Osborne, Connell, Burgess and Scott. Any* player not available should notify the club captain immediately.
