MAORI CHOIR
TO VISIT DOYLESTON AND
SEDGEMERE.
MISSION ANNIVERSARY.
A VERY TALENTED PARTY.
The 110 th anniversary of the establishment of the Methodist Maori Mission will be celebrated in this district at the end of this month, when a great Mission demonstration will be held. Doyleston Hall has been booked for Monday, February 29, and Sedgemere Hall for Tuesday, March 1. The programme will be provided by the Rev. A. J. Seamer's popular party of Maori singers and musicians, who have already amazed the North Island public by their wonderful versatility and haunting melodies. Judging by the press reports, their programme is of outstanding merit and all lovers of the weird, haunting and entrancing music of the Maori and native dances, should hear this popular, fascinating and educative programme. The party will appear in national costumes and all the typical Maori dances and pastimes will be included in the programme, as well as music on their ancient and modern scales.
