HOCKEY PLAYER ENTERTAINED
Last Saturday night, a farewell party, organised by the Leeston Hoc-
[key Club, gathered at the residence ;of Mr and Mrs Gwatkin to bid fare- ' well to Miss Edna List, who has left the district.
An enjoyable evening was spent in singing, games and dancing. On behalf of the gathering, Mr Mathieson said that Miss List would be missed from the fields of sport, where, whatever she had undertaken she had done wholeheartedly. Miss Mabel Eade asked the guest to accept a hand-bag and a pair of gloves as-a token of the appreciation in which she was held by the hockey players and other friends. Mr List responded on behalf of his daughter.
