EDUCATION REPORT
DISCUSSED BY TEACHERS.
OPINIONS FAVOURABLE
At a meeting of the Ellesmere Teachers' Discussion Circle on Wednesday evening Mr W. H. Cartwright presided. The chief business of the evening was the discussion of the report of the Recess Committee upon Education. j In the main, discussion was favourable to most of the recommendations of the Committee. At the same time, the opinion was expressed that the suggested changes would almost inevitably involve additional expenditure, and that for this' reason it was probable that not a great deal of the report would be embodied in legislation this year.
