Mr and Mrs B. Maw, who ,are removing to Methven, will be accorded a farewell social in the Doyleston Hall next Friday evening, to which all friends are invited.
It has been ascertained that as Mr D. K. Lochhead's name is not on the valuation roll for the district he is not eligible to become a candidate for the vacancy on the North Rakaia River Board of Conservators. Mr A. Anderson has therefore been declared elected.
