NEW PRESIDENT AND
SECBETAUr,
At a.meeting of the Ellesmerc Tennis Sub-Association, held at Leeston, Mr W. A. Sawyer was elected president in place of Ttfi? L. Harris, of Motukarara, who resigned on account of his removal to Christchurch. Mr P. A. Strack, of Southbridgo, who is removing to Whangarei, tendered his resignation as hon. secretary, and Mr A. S.Lyflns, resident solicitor at Leeston, was elected to the vacancy. It was decided to start the second' round of the competition on Saturday, February 18. In the men's singles games in last Saturday's representative match, Ellesmere v. City and Suburban, the scores in the Macpherson Tilman game were given as 1-6, whereas Macpherson won by 9-6.
