Vicary (engineer and reported a^s follows:— S The following additional load has {been connected to the Board's mains j for the month ending March 31st:— \ Lighting 2.57 K.W., heating (including 2 ranges and 3 hot water heaters) 21.2 K.W., motors (6) 5.1 K.W.; total 28.87 K.W.
J The West Melton extension is being ! proceeded with. j A letter was sent to the P.W.D. on February 24th, asking them to raise their lines on Bealey road, but up to J the present no reply has been received. A canvass of the Main South road from Mr Gilmour's to Mr Stewart's has been made, also Waterhole's road. The following are the guarantees:— Eobinson's road £6 per annum, Waterhole's road £4 per annum, Jones /s road £10, Main South road £32; total £52

I have been in consultation with Mr Templin regarding the taking over of the wholesale consumers, while an interview with the engineer of the Islington Freezing Works took place on Friday the. Bth inst., and a further interview with the Chief Engineer is to take place on the
Regarding the negotiations with the Farmers' Co-op, for a window for display purposes, a verbal offer was made by Mr Machin some time ago to let the Board have this for 10/- per week. On March 24th I wrote accepting this for a period of six months. A verbal offer has now been received for 15/- per week.
