PUBLIC NOTICES SOUTHBRIDGE TOWN BOARD. SPECIAL ORDER. , ! NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Southbridge Town Board held on the Ist day of October, 1925, IT WAS RESOLVED, by way of Special Order, that the Southbridge Town Board MAKE BY-LAWS, lender "The Town Boards Act, 1908/' "The Corporations Act, 1920,"" "The Public Works Act, 1908" "The Health Act, 1920," ''The Motor Regulation Act, 1908,' ' and the several Acts amending the same, the object and purpose of which are as follows: (1) No buildingsxto be erected in the Southbridge Town District until plans a,nd. specifications of same have been submitted to the' Town Board for approval and a permit has been obtained certifying that ' the plans, material and drainage are in accordance with the requirements of the Board's By-laws. (2) Repairs to old Buildings.—BuiMing permit required and materials to be approved. (3) That an effective system of fire escape must v be provided, at all hotels and boarding houses. (4) Defining quality and use of materials. (5) The Board shall have. power to .compel the rectification or removal of defective buildings. (6) Obstruction of streets .Tiot allowed. (7) Trees must not obstruct public places. (8) Water from private premises must not be allowed to run over paths or streets. « • ' ' ■ (9) Crossings over footpaths and channels shall be constructed subject to the conditions of the By-laws. (10) Stock not permitted to wa,nder unattended upon.public places nor to '■- be tethered for depasturing thereon. . , (11) Vehicles must carry lights at night. '■ ' * . (12) Vehicles or horses shall not bfi left standing unattended o.tl the strec't. for lengthy periods. (13) Bicycles must not be ridden upon footpaths. (14) Motor cycles must have silencers. (15) No porson shall keep or manage a billiard room unless licensed to do so by the Board. The license fee is £1 Is per annum. (16) No person shall hawk or peddle goods^ other than perishable foodstuffs, without a license. The said resolution will be submitted for confirmation as a special order at a special meeting of the Board, to be held at the Board's Office, High street, Southbridge, on THURSDAY, sth day of November, 1925. • A copy of the proposed By-laws is deposited at the office of the -Board, High street, Southbridge, where the same will be open for public inspection during office hours until the said confirming meeting is held.
