LEESTON STOCK SALE.

There were again fairly large entries of stock, and a gccd attendance. Beef was much easier, and fat lambs were not so firm as the, previous market. Fat ewes did much better, and wethers maintained their values. There was a slight increase m, the price of pigs. -Stbre -cattle avid dairy cawS found only a moderate enquiry. Following were some of the prices ' realised : —For Allen's Estate (Killinchy) 12 ewes and 2 wethers 10s Gd, Mr W! J. Lemon (Killin--:hy) 10 fat ewes 13s 6d, 9 ditto 12s id. Mr H Ohappell (Kilhnchy) 12 fat ewes 14s 7'd, 15 lambs i' 4 s 9 d ; "Mr T Dixo'n (T'oyVstoh) 2 wethers 17^, Mr \V. J Lemon (Killinchy) 1 w«:ih«r ißi, Mr W. J . McGuinness (Southbridge) 11 lambs 14s id, 65 ewes and lambs 6* ; <vtr A LtHey (Sotithbf idge) 9 ewes iosq' 1; Mr P. Olassey (Southbridge) 21 lambs 1 4 * 9 d : Mr W. H Eddy (Dunsandel) 192 iambs tses id, to 12s 6d. Pigs — The entry of pigs was a trifle smaller than last «ale. and there was an improvement m the demandi Bacnners fouhd only a fair c ury 01 good pigs, and made from 30s to 404 equal to 3jd per. Ib. Porkers had a much larger entry than usual, and there was a good demand, making from 20s to 25 * 6d tqual to 4I p*r lb. There was a large entry of stores, which found ready sale. Big ones made from 10s t9 15s, larger fnm 153 to 20s, and small ones from 1 is 6d to 6s 3d. Fat Cattle - S iveral b-efers and cows formed a fair entry steers brought £5 17s 6d to £g, beefers £4 15s to £6 los, cows, £4 172 6d to £6 equal to 20s to 23s for prime, and 1 6s to 19s for inferior to medium per lo» lbs: Sore cattle met with a dull sale except for bigee-t steers 15 to 18 months cattle made 39s to 495, 2 year steers £2 18s to £3, 3 yr sioers £4 to £5, 3 yr. heifers £4 5s to £5 ss.
