The following are the handicaps for the I mile race to be held at the Leeston Kink this evening :— H. JElagg scratch, W. East 5 yds, 0. Lewis 5 yds, R. Barnett 10yds, W. Murray 20yds, J. East 30 yds, D. E. Smith 40yds. At the vicarage, on Friday evepmg, Miss Kemp, who has been a teacher m St James' Sunday School, Southbridge, for upwards of ten years, was presented with a prayer and hymn book, bound m the latest style, m recognition of her past services, Miss Kemp having resigned from her position as a teacher. The presentation was made by Mr J. S. Inwood, the superintendent, who regretted losing the services cf Miss Kemp to the school. Key Mr Hamilton also spoke of the good work done by Miss Kemp and took occasion to thank her for the able service she had rendered.
