Womens’ Institute, ... The monthly meeting of the Omakau-Ophir Womens’ Institute was held at Mrs Jones' residence on February 9ih. Mrs Ingram presiding over a good attendance. The opening song was sung, followed by the As pirations and Institute Prayer. Mrs Jones presented the treasuurer’s report which showed a satisfactory position. Letters were read from soldiers serving in Japan, thanking members for parcels received. The motto was given by Mrs Morrin ‘None but thyself can fit thy place in the world; see therefore thou fit it well-' Roll Call: a Riddle & j Competition: the best 6 pansies, Mrs Ingram Ist, Mrs Beil 2nd [and Mrs Jones Srd- An interesting letter from 1 Home and Country’ was read by the president. Hostesses were Mesdames Morrin and Cornwall*
