County Meeting The ordinary monthly meeting of the Vincent County Council wilt be held in the Council Chambers, Clyde en Thursday, November 30th. Tenders Tenders, closing with the sbdretary (Mr A. Harris) at 6p.m. on December 2nd, are invited for the erection of a swimming pool at the Clyde School. School Improvements At its last week's meeting the Otago Education Board authorised the laying down of an ad. ditional area in concrete for basketball and tennis at the Cromwell School, at a cost of £230, and also approved of ah application for renovations to the teacher’s residence at Ida Valley. Library Books Mr Mercer, Country Library Service will be in Clyde on Monday next, for the purpose of i making the periodical exchange of books. In order to ensure a complete change, subscribers are asked to kindly return all Service books to the Library by the end of the week. Cards The card tournament, under the auspices of the Combined Sports Club, was held in the Pavilion on Saturday last, when some 36 played. The I winners were Mrs H. Laing and Mr T. Farrell. Spring Lambs There was a yarding of 220 fat lambs at the Burnside sales last week, and prices were 3s to 4s per bead easier than the previous week owing to the larger entry best making up to 47s Od, while good lambs brought from 32s to 425, light from 28i»
