Mr W. Packers returned from Dunedin to Clyde on Friday last. Mr Richardson, school teacher at Galloway many years ago, is visiting Alexandra. Mr W. Beai e(W eiiin gto n) was a visitor to Clyde last week, when he was the guest ot Mr & Mrs SR. Stevens. Mr & Jeffries who were the guests ot Mr & Mrs AHarris, Clyde, returned to Dunedin on Tuesday last. Mrs Labes, who has been visiting her parents (Mr & Mrs W. Tattersfield) has returned to Lawrence. Sergt. J and Mrs Romans arrived at Clyde from Arrowtown to day and are the guests of Mr & Mrs H E- Stevens. At its meeting last week the Otago Education Board confirmed the appointment of Mr Robert C- Haig as sole teacher of the Blacks school. Mr W. D. Naylor (chairman of the Vincent County Council) attended a conference of Iccal bodies at Timaru last week. Mr W K. Wright went to Dunedin yesterday Mr L. J Meikiejohn will travel to Dunedin to-morrow, where he will represent Lodge Dunstan at the annual communication of the Masonic Grand Lodge The Bev.
