FRUITGROWING
Late frosts in Central Otago have not affected the fruit crop* in the Department ol Ag ture’s district, which reachc. a, few miles past Roxburgh. There are now heavy crops of all stone fruits in the district, with the exception of ap s. which are only in moderate supply, due to early season frosts. Pip fruits give every indication of also being in good average supply this year.— I ‘Star’ As a result of the disastrous frosts in Hawke’s .Bay higher prices for fruit in New Plymouth are predicted. Many growers cleaned right out, and this Res at least to all Twyford. orchards in the district escaped with partial loss, very many crops have been wiped out altogether.
