REILLY’S CENTRAL PRODUCE MART, Dunedin report — Full supplies of all lines of fruit and produce have been received during the week. Considerable consignments of Central Otago apples are coming to hand with a fair demand for most lines Grapes are now in short supply and a choice line of Qros Co'raars was received and met a good inquiry. Large consignments of cut flowers especially Chrysanthemums have been received during the week and the demand is limited. Melons and marrows are in over supply and most difficult to sell. Some nice lines of potatoes received during the week, and a steady demand experienced especially for the King Edward variety. Choice cauliflowers and cibbage are coming to hand in larger quantities. A trans-shipment of Californian oranges, lemons and grapefruit have come to hand, and sales have been quite good. Ripe bananas have a better inquiry. A further shipment of Niue and Samoan bananas is due by the Maui Pomare’. A better demand has been experienced for Honey and some very fine lines of choice clover quality has been received Mutton birds are meeting a good demand. EGGS—There is a good demand for Eggs and prices remain firm. POULTRY —A fairly heavy yarding received for our weekly sale and some very line pans of pallets were offered, values being satisfactory.
