GOLF.
“Easily the best links in Central Otago” was the opinion expressed by the large number of visitors that attended the opening - of the club at Omakau on Saturday afternoon- The fairways are smooth and wellturfed while the greens arc in beautiful order, and as one lady visitor remarked, “More like a bowling green that what we have been used to.” Somebody has done a lot of work, and who ever is responsible is to be heartily congratulated on the happy result. The pleasures of an enjoyable game ol golf were materially added to by the lavish hospitality of the club, It was truly a great day.
