DUNSTAN PARISH
On the Vicar’s last visit to Pembroke the Wanaka Girl Guides paraded for Evensong. There was a large congregation and the church authorities are pleased to hear that the Guides intend parading regularly on each visit by the Vicar.
St. Michael’s Church Committee met last Monday evening and considered the financial situation and other matters connected with the closing the financial year on 91st March. r ihe position indicated further consistent support on the part of the parishioners and the small .amount of arrears only were outstanding, while all accounts had been met. It was decided to hold the Annual meeting on Monday 28th April next in the Supper Boom at the Town Hall. The meeting also agreed to the suggestion that Harvest Festi val Service be held on Sunday 4th May. An important recommendation is to be brought before the Annual meeting which will be of considerable interest to members of the Parish Church. The final meeting of the present Vestry of the Parish will take place at the Vicarage on Friday next 11th iust. at 7. 90. pm. Mr IP E. Stevens has been appointed Returning ullieer tor the election and return of two lay-representatives of the Dunstan Parish to the Synod of the Diocese.
