CUPID IN CAMERA.
.Mr Hay Halkett, senior magistrate a( Alarvlebone, took an unusual course when tlie case of 13ray v. Bray was called recently. Me announced that he would hear the case “upstairs,” meaning. presumably, In Ins private room. It is understood that it related to a summons issued by a girl against her lather, who had refused his consent to her marriage. When the announcement was made a pretty girl and a young man rose at the hack of the courtroom and left together. On leaving the building later the girl, who was smiling, explained that (he magistrate had given his consent to their marriage.
