The combined Vineent-Maniototo team did remarkably well against Tuapeka-Western districts, and the fact that the Otago selectors picked no less than seven Vincent players out of the four counties to play against the province, shows, at least, that our players are still to be ;* reckoned with. That we were un lucky to lose the Topp Cup is borne out by subsequent happenings- In regard to the match in question, Vineent-Maniototo won easily by DJ to nib The stars on the winning side were Reg Waldron and Artie Marslin.
