OTUREHUA

On May 3 1st a frost ware struck this district and has scarce ly let. up since. On the I3th of June six inches of snow fell, and the cold became more intense, the thermometer on several occasions (at ground level) being below zero. It is getting a serious problem away from the main creeks to supply water to the stock. Every little rivulet is frozen solid, and ice on the lagoons is upwards of ,12 inches. The sunny faces of Rough Ridge are comparatively free of snow, but the flat, and the dark side of Blackstone Hill are coated with snow. All work except feeding stock is at a‘complete standstill.
