On the Kings Birthday the Alexandra Club had the pleasuro_ of a visit from Roxburgh. The visitors won by the narrow margin of one— Roxburgh winning 10 matches, Alexandra 9, while 5 were drawnThe Wakatipu Golf Club’s tournament proved a great success. The men’s championship 36 holes was won by J Brooks (Wanaka) with a score of 180, R. Gilkison and F. Stoop tied for second with a score of 188. The Ladies Championship was won by Mrs Paterson (Cromwell) 112 (l 8 holes) Mrs Curtis being 2nd with 117. The men’s handicap was won by Nelson (Wakatipu) 71, E. W. George (Clyde) being second with 75 The men’s bogey hc’p was won by Dr Anderson (I up)- The ladies hep resulted in a tic, Mrs Wilkinson and Mrs’Mann being 100 each- In the play off the former won. Mrs Paterson won the ladies bogey hc’p (1 down). Mi- and Mrs Mcßride and Mr and Mrs Gilkison each 1 down tied for the mixed foursome.
