Mr Snow, Railway S.M. at Clyde is on holiday leave, and his place is being filled by Mr Oarline of the Relieving Staff, DunedinMr Charles J. Inder has been reappointed by the Government as a member of the Otago Land Board for a period of two years, and was warmly congratulated by his colleagues of the Board at last week’s meeting
Mr J. W. Smith, the D.S A.'s popular representative is at present in Clyde, and will be in attendance at his sample rooms to-morrow and the following day. Amongst the recent appointments of Justices of tho Peace appear the names of Messrs Jas. Clouston, M, McCubbin (Lauder) and G. Asquith (Chatto Creek-)
