The Duke of Rutland will take up his residence at Haddon Hall, Derbyshire, which has not been occupied for more than 200 years. For generations the hall has been a great attraction to visitors, chiefly because of its association with the romantic elopement of Dorothy Vernon with Lord John Manners.
