The ordinary monthly meeting hold on Saturday last was attended by CrsJas. Ritchie (chair) D. S. Middleton, S. T- Spain, j- Kane, J.R. Webb, C- Weaver, J. McKnight and A. Scoular. Correspondence was read and dealt with as under—

Messrs R.K. Sadd and John Haig w i otc protecting against the leasing of the gravel reserve at Lander to Mr John Wilson. It was pointed out by the chairman that the Council mul been given the right by Mr Wilson to lake gravel from any part of ids property; and therefore the gravel reserve (on which there was no gravel) was given in exchange. Idie treasurer's statement showed a debit balance in the County fund account of £7-1-. The county ranger reported that since last meeting 06 head of stock had been impounded oil' the County roads. On the motion of Cr Webb it was ilttided that the motor regulations restricting taespeed of motor vehicles throughout the county bo strictly enforced.
