A meeting of thetPresbylery of Dunstan was held on Tuesday in the Ranfurly Church when the Rev. J. Standring of Alexandra presided The Clerk read a letter from the Rev A. D. Kirkland of Naseby tendering his resignation of the Mount Ida charge Mr Kirkland addressed the presbytery giving his reasons for resigning and resolutions were presented from the Naseby and Rahfurly congregations acquiescing with regret in their ministers decision and expressing hit»h appreciation oi' his ministry and wishng him every success in his future work The Rev A. V. Chandler moved md the Rev H. Bloomfieid seconded, tnd it was agreed— That the presbyery accepts the resignation of the Rev. \. Kirkland with deep regret and that the pastoral lie be dissolved on Dec 31st 1922. It was resolved to appoint the Rev. A. V. Chandler interim moderator of Ihe Mount Ida charge to preach the charge vacant on the first Sunday in January. Mr Chandler was also appointed interim-moderator of the Patear oa charge in place of Mr Kirkland. A resolution ol sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr Win. Scoullar treasurer of the Sustentatioti Fund Committee was unanimously adopted. Tiie Rev. H. Bloomfieid iutim-ited that for various reasons he desired to resign trom the Slrath~Taeri charge. After several members of presbytery had spoken it was decided to deai with the matter at nest.meeting of presbytery. Letters were read Irum the convener of the Suatenlation fund relative tu presbytery assessments "and the clerk was instructed lo deal with the matter.
