Verdi's "La Donna e Mobile" ; 12 SaintSacns' "IjO Oygne," A movement is afoot to form an American Steamship Companv with a. capital of £6,000,000, which will build two electrically driven liners each of 70.000 gross tons and 1000 ft in length. At present the largest vessel afloat is the Majestic (formerly known l as the Bismarck). She lias a. gross tonnage of 56,550, and is 915 ft long. *
