AMERICAN MEAT TARIFF.

The following extracts from the American Permanent Tariff have been supplied by the United States Consulate: Schedule 7 Agricultural Products and Provisions.

Par. 701. Cattle weighing less than one thousand and fifty pounds each, 11 cents per pound; weighing one thousand fifty pounds each and more. 2 cents per pound; fresh beef and veal, it rents per pound; tallows, one-ball ol I per cent, per pound,; oleo oil and oleo stearin, 2 cent per pound. Par. 702. Sheep and goats. 2dols. per head: fresh mutton and goat meat. 2.J cents per pound; fresh lamb, 1 cents per pound.

Par. 703. Swine, one-half of I cent per pound; fresh pork, three-fourths of 1 cent per pound: bacon hams, and shoulders, and other pork, prepared or preserved. 2 cents per pound; lard. I cent per pound: lard compounds and lard substitutes, I rents per pound.

Par. 705. Extract of meat, including fluid. 15 cents per pound. Par. 70(3. Meats, fresh, prepared or preserved not specially provided for. 20 per centum ad valorem.
