DUNSTAN HOSPITAL.

The ordinary monthly meeting held on Monday, the 13th inst, was attended by Messrs S- AStevens, W. Sutherland, J- L. Davidson, and W. P- Black- Mr Stevens was voted to the chair. Mr Sutherland reported having waited on the Board with regard to the erection of shelters for female consumptives. The Board were nnanimously in favour of making provision for such patients, The work would be proceeded with as soon as practicable. MrW. M- Lopdell wrote expressing his appreciatron of the excellent attention received by him while under treatment at the Hospital. Mr J- R- Marks wrote forwarding a cheque for £8 14s sd. half of the surplus funds of the Otago Central Railway Worker's Medical Benefit Club, the remaining half going to the Cromwell Hospital- Received with thanks. Mr F- T- D. Jeffery was granted two months leave of absence from attendance at Committee meetings owing to indispositionAccounts and salaries amounting to /141 *2s od were passed for payments The Surgeon reported that eight patients were undergoing treatment at the beginning of the month, five had been admitted, and five discharged during the month of October. AdoptedThe Matron's report re outstanding maintenance dues for October was read and adoptedThe Visiting Committee reported that everything was in first-class order, and recommended that a Plannet Jnr- hand cultivator be procured for the garden. Agreed toMr H. G- Wright was appointed Collector on the same terms as previously. Messrs J. L. Davidson and W. P. Black were appointed a Visiting Committee for the ensuing month.

The meeting then closed with a vote of thanks to the Chair.
