PRISONERS SENTENCED.
_♦ The Dunedin Criminal sittings concluded on Saturday, when James Linford Sharp was sentenced to eight months imprisonment with hard labor, and Alexander Christie Bennett *to ten months imprisonment for breaking and entering. Sir Robert Stout sentenced the following prisoners to reformative treatment, Edward Alphonsus Gawne, (burglarly) two years, Vivian Jones, breaking and entering and using sand bag, five years, Fredk. Ernest Ede, common assault on girl, two years, Maurice James Heslip, theft, two years, James David Deans, theft, as postal official, two years- In the case of the two Harlands charged with concealment of birth, Stuart Cecil Harland the husband was sentenced to five years reformative, and Heatherbelle Harland the wife, two and a half years reformative.
