•'Cases of drug addiction treble in New York, according to the figures ol the Department, of Public Welfare, while alcoholism is little, if at ali reduced," says the 'New York World" in a leading article. "Millions ol dollars arc eaten up in ineffectual enforcement and millions in the storage of confiscated liquor.''
These are some of the results ot a prohibition, which is futile and unnatural, while yet being an enormous expense to the country in money and wasted lives. Vote Continuance, and a sane and healthv New Zealand.
