Says a London paper:—News that a number of Glasgow schoolboys are suffering from poisoning duo to eating laburnum seeds may surprise manylovers of one of the most beautiful flowering trees. Like many other beautiful things, however. laburnum is dangerous, for the lony, yellow flowers, and the seeds which presently tako their place, contain poison—cytissus—so powerful that a hundredth part of a grain injected Tinder the skin of a cat or dog is sufficient to cause death. Tn ten seeds there is sufficient poison to kill a child, and there are a number of cases on record of death from this cause. Willie Sanderson, the 15-year-old first air cabin boy, has now flown more than 20,000 miles backward and forward along the airway between London and Paris, attending* to the wants of passengers in the big ten-seater Daimler airway "expresses." He is the pioneer of a new career for boj'6. Beginning now a« air cabin boy, he may eventually rise to become the pilot of owe of the big air liners of the future.
