100 PEOPLE POISONED.
*~- ■■■- "More lhan one hundred deaths have been reaorted in New Vork alone during the last month from drinking poisonous liquoi." That is a statement issued by Mi Day, Prohibition Director and report ed in the "New York Tribune/ The State Druggist's Association declares that bottleg li.jUOfS now on sale con tain lysol, mercury, formaldehyde, carbolic acid lead, copper, zinc and wood alcohol. The association protests against the granting of druggists' licenses to people who merely Use them to camouflage sly-grog shops. In New Zealand, if we get Prohibition, we shall surely have its corollaries —poisonous booze and drugs Vote Continuance and a regulated liquor trade above ground.
