A familiar figure in the Ida Valley district, in the person of Mr Peter Flannery, passed to his long home last week. His place is being' filled by Mr McCallum, of Dunedin. a • • Owing to the resignation of Mr G- S- Patterson, as representative of Clutha Riding in the Vincent County Council, an extraordinary election is necessary, and nominations are invited. In accepting the resignation with regret, the Council paid'Mr Patterson a well deserved compliment, for there is no doubt he was a conscientious and attentive Councillor. His place will be hard to fillIt is with pleasure we announce that Dr A. E- Gladstone, of Alexandra, has entirely recovered from his illness. The Doctor resumed practice to-day.
