Bott, president of the American Society of Cosmeticians. "We are going to conduct a campaign of education," slie said. "The painted lady is a thing of the past. The purpose of the/meeting," she continued, "is to raise the standard of the profession. By bringing the profession under uniform Jaws we hope to eliminate all objectionable features." The two sessions of the meeting were attended, by leading manufacturers and retailers of cosmetics from all parts of the country.
