With a "banner" of postage stamps 3ft. long and 7in. wide attached, a letter has been delivered from Soviet Russia: to a resident at Wandsworth (England!). The letter was posted in a suburb of Kieff in the middle of May. The stamps are LOO in number —50 are 200 rouble stamps and 100 are 300-rouble-of the total value of 40,000 roubles. As before the war and the Hussian revolution the rouble was worth about 2s, the pre-war total face value of these stamps would he £4OOO. Now the total actual value is trifling. The new era, that is upon us will be an. era, of unbelievable speed. The following incident is not fiction; it is a. prophecy. A young man of A.D. 1950 was giving his girl an airing so to speak, in a swift and power 2000-h.p. aeroplane. "That's England we're approaching," he said. They lived in Australia. "British Isles, you know. Pretty little group they make, don't they?" "1 don't see them," said the girl anxiously —"Where arc they?" "Oh," said the young man, "we've passed them now!"
