An habitual criminal in the prison is epileptic and mentally deficient, and the doctor formed the theory that his criminal instincts are the result of his physical defects, which, in turn, are the result of imperfect development of certain glands. Accordingly, after the execution of a healthy murderer, he extracted those glands from bis; body and transplanted them to the living body of the epileptic.
