In the ease of women, tobacco produces nervous tension, coupled with stomach trouble, which become aggravated as ' the habit grows. naturally causing angry scenes between husbands and wives, until one nr the other hastens to the divorce court: for relief. Dr Fiessinger savs that the records prove that men of all countries realise this change in feminine characteristics and have shunned tobacco as a result; hut that women, on the other hand, finding a new excitement, arc more than making up for the drop in tobacco sales to the stronger sex.
