(15,y Telegraph) REILLY’S CENTIME PRODUCE MART. LTD., report Reilly’s Central Produce Mart, Ltd. report:— As usual previous to the? holidays we are exceptionally busy; very heavy consignments of fruit of all descriptions, potatoes, vegetables, pigs, poultry and eggs have arrived, the demand for all lines exceeding our expectations, though preserved Eggs are slow of sale. Unfortunately poultry consignors held their consignments asj they usually do until a few days before' the holidays with the result that the market was glutted. In all we received 340 Hens. 50 Cockerels, 107 Chickens, 268 Ducks, 22 Geese and 44 Turkeys.; Business must be considered highly satisfactory. f The demand for our special collection' of Sweet Peas has been exceptionally good. We received and sold:—
Strawberry Plants: Laxton’s Noble 40s, Fillbaskets 30s to 40s, Eltersburg 30s per thousand. Errington’s Champion Sweet Peas,' 6s for collection of 12 varieties. Violets rosto 12s 6d dozen.
Grapes Locals Gros Colmars to 2s Bd, to 3s others to ;is 6d, Omarau to is 6d.
