ENGLISHMAN BECOMES MEXICAN GENERAL.
MARKSMAN’S SHARE IN FEDERAL VICTORIES. A telegram from Naco (Arizona) received in New York reports that alter four days’ brilliant and daring defence the Federaks have succeeded in driving off the besiegers of Naco (Sonora V General Pedro Ojeda, the. commander of the garrison, has promoted John Dean, an Englishman, to the rank of general for services rendered by him. His expert marksmanship is said to have been directly responsible for the many severe defeats suffered by the horde of Constitutionalists surrounding the small Federal post. Dean saw service in tho Transvaal and other campaigns.
