VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL
The following is the Order Paper for the ordinary meeting of the Vincent County Council to be held on Wednesday: Considering and Ordering on the Balance Sheet for the year ending on the 31st March, 1909, together | with the County Treasurer’s StateI meat of Assets and Liabilities for the same period, along with the Controller and Auditor-General’s report thereon, and to finally settle the same in conformity with Section 138 of “The Counties Act, 1908.” Apportioning the gross estimated Income of the County for the year ending on the 31st March, 1910, as set forth in Section 12S of “The Counties Act, 1905.” Cr Jameson to move-Under Section 89, Part 111 of “The Counties Act, 1908.” That the resolution passed by the Council at its meeting on the 23rd September, I 190S, Moved by Councillor Pitches ■ and seconded by Councillor Smart also the Motion moved by Councillor Horn and seconded by Councillor Laidlaw and passed by the Council on the same date, relating to the supply of water for domestic purposes for the Town of Ophir, be revoked for the following reasons, viz] The report of the Vincent County Engineer submitted to the Council at its meeting on the 24th March, 1909, go to show that there is not sufficient water in Wet Gully to warrant any money being spent on the proposed work, and further that the report of DrOgston, District Health Officer, shows that the quality of the water is unfit for domestic purposes. Cr Weaver to move —That the sum of fifteen pounds be voted to form the road between the main road at Earnscleugh Flat and the Fraser river gorge. Cr Flannery to move -That the motion standing in his name on the Order Paper of the 27th January, 1909, re Ophir Water Supply, be now considered.
