POINTS OF FASHION
A touch of gilt or glitter is the neccßsary finish to smart costumes. Serges in litrht tones or with a light pin stripe are right in the front rank of fashion. Jet jewels arc worn with colored gowns as well as with the smart black-and-white
costumes. Whether a coat be long or extend omy a. trifle beyond hip length, it is usually with the back so slightly fitted that to all appearances it is almost straight. Violet in two or three shades is quite to the front, and its rivals arc pale blue, jade green, and cobalt The latter is quite effective, and gives a good touch to a simole dress. Little by little golden yellow is becoming one of the favorite colors of the season. It shows well under electric light, and is usually becoming. It is now dyed with a golden sheen that carries oat the prevailing fashion, for gold in everything. Skirts full at the feet are now an accomplished fact, and the more they are trimmed the more up to date they are. Ail the decoration must, howe.ver, lie keptlow, as the bins are still to be slim. For this’ fashion the softest and most graceful of materials are necessary for evening wear. Foulards of all kinds will be worn, mousselinc do sole, crepe de chine, and the softest of Liberty satins.
