CLYDE SPORTS CLUB.

The financial meeting of the above club, held on Wednesday evening was fairly well attended. Mr Jeffery presided. The secretary read a statement showing that the recent sports had resulted in a profit of some £\s- - President said that the result was most satisfactory, being easily a record for the club. It showed that the club’s Sports were becoming even more popular than before, and he was pleased to say that the meeting had been carried out without a hitch of any kind. Thetra:ks were in excellent order (thanka to the good work done by Mr Jas. Wilson) and the handicapping and starting could not have been improved upon. The chairman then moved—That hearty votes of thanks be accorded to all who had assisted in making the Sports so pronounced a success, particularly the Clyde Dramatic Club, and the handicappers and starter.—Carried unanimously. Mr McSwan then moved lhat the President be accorded a. hearty vote of thanks for his untiring efforts on the club’s behalf. In speaking to the motion Mr McSwan remarked that the President had excelled himself on this occasion. The motion was carried by acclamation. The President having returned thanks, the meeting terminated.
