The Molyneux has not yet receded to summer level. The work of overhauling the Loch Lomond dredge was commenced last week. A dividend (the twenty-fourth) of as per share has been declared by the directors of the Mystery Flat Company, and will le payable on the 19th inst. The directors of the Waikaia Company have decla.ed a dividend (the nineteenth) of 3s ber share, payable on the 19th inst. The well-known quartz claims at Macetown held by Mr J. W. Farrell who is now at Home, are (says the Wakatipu Mail) about to be applied for in the court by a Dunedin and Alexandra syndicate having been already pegged off. Recently, the same paper says, the head of the Lake was visited by a gentleman directly interested in the formation of a syndicate which intends commencing miffing operations in the old Invincible. With this and the scheelite mines at work, Glenorchy will ere long be assuming an unwontedly busy appearance. The Dredgernaster of the Rising Sun reports for the week ending Nov. 16th :
Dredged 130 hours and worked ahead 12 feet. The drift was very bad all the week, causing a considerable reduction in the return, and compelling me to leave the river portion of the cut. till the river subsides to normal level. Mean while I am extending the cut into the beach on the eastern side, tin till it will be the usual width of 150 yards.
