DUNLOP COMPETITION, The result of the Dunlop Competition on advertising, which was open to Australia and New Zealand, has been made public. Out of the 16,000 coupons sent in, only eight competitors succeeded in placing 7 20 designs in their correct The conditions of the competition were that successful coupon# would be taken in order according to date of receipt by the Dunlop Co. The three prize winners are;— First Prize, R, Brady, 75, Kay St., Carlton, Vic. Coupon dated Jan. 19, 1906, Second Prize, £io. Miss M. McAlister, 111, Rathdon St., Carlton, Vic. Coupon dated Jan. 30, 1906. Third Prize, E. P. A. Emmett, 80, Peel St,, North Mel-

bourne. Coupon dated Feb. 5, 1906. P. Somerville, Collingwood, Vic,, co ipon dated Feb 22nd, 1906, J. Allsorts, Redfern, N.S.W. Coupon dated March 3rd, 190 6. A. lodd, Wellington, N.Z. Coupon dated March 24th, 1906. Mrs J. McAllum, New Plymouth, N.Z. Coupon dated March 25th, ipo6. Miss A. Dexter, Wanganui, N.Z. Coupon dated March 26th, 1906. All these placed seven designs cor ec ly, and although no provision was mane for further prizes, the Dunlop Co have awarded a Consolation Prize of one guinea to each of the live above-mentioHed corns pelitors.

The correct order of placing the designs was as follows;—ic, 8, 5, 3, 16, 18, 7, 11, 19, 12, 4, 15, 13, 2, 20, 6, 17, 24, 1, 9.
