THE NEW HEBRIDES.
MELBOURNE, July 23 Dr Paton interviewed Premier Barton and voiced his fears in reference to France's intention of sending a large number of convicts to the New Hebrides. Mr Bar ton reiterated his assurance that a watch fill eye is being kept on all matters pertaining to the South Seas, and quietened the doctor's fears in regard to the importation of convicts
