They have a novel way in Italy of advertising vacant apartments. In place of the placard inscribed «• Rooms To Let," or " To Be Let," which adorns our windows, a white cloth, about the size of a napkin, flutters from the casement, notifying the passersby that the apartments can be rented. The Clothworkera' Company offered to give £2OO per annum, fjr five years, so that lectures may be given by specialists at Oxford University on the most important parts of agriculture and forestry.
