THE following are the days appointed for holding the Resident Magistrate's and Warden’s Courts for the mouths of January, February, March, April, May, and June, 1379, for the Dunstan Division oi the Otago Gold Fields Districts ; W. LAURENCE SIMPSON, Warden and R.M. APPLICATION FOR LEASE. Alexandra :—Dunstan. June 2nd, 1879. To the Warden at Alexandra. WE hereby apply for a GoldMining Lease of the lands hereinafter described, in accordance with the Gold-Mining Leases Regulations of New Zealand, and we agree upon the approval of this application, to execute a Lease upon the basis therein stated, if the Governor shall think fit to grant the same. JOHN BENNETT, Applicant. Name and address in full of Applicants ;—John Bennett, George Cameron, John Dewar Frederick Keppler, William Hansen, and William Beattie, Alexandra, County of Vincent. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business:— Bennett and Company. Extent of Land applied for Sixteen acres—4oo yards by 200 yards. Minimum No. of men to bo employed by the Lessees ;—For the first 12 months, two men. Subsequently when in full work 6 men. Amount of Capital proposed to be invested :—£l2oo. Proposed mode of working the Land : —Tunnelling and crushing. Precise Locality :—Conroy’s reef, West side of Conroy’s Gully. Term for which Lease required : 15 years. Time of commencing operations : Immediately, General Remarks :—None. The above application and any objection thereto will be heard at the Warden’s Office at Alexandra, on the 28th July, 1879. Any person desiring to object to the issue of a Mining Lease upon the above application must, within 54 clear days from the date of such application, at the Warden’s Office at Alexandra, W. LAURENCE SIMPSON, Warden. Alexandra, June 2nd 1879. GOLD-MINING LEASE TO BE GRANTED. Public Notification. IN conformity with the 37th section of “ The Mines Act, 1876,’’ and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown lands to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease. Objections to granting such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden, at Alexandra, on or before the 28th day of July, 1879, Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Alexandra. Applicants: John Bennett and others. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business : “ Bennett and Co” 16 acres in the Dunstan Mining District (Conroy’s Reef).
